Keeping you safe is our top priority
As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to have an increased impact on our communities, we want you to know that Dr. Sullivan and Edmond Endodontics are currently taking all precautions to keep our entire office sanitized and safe per OSHA, ADA, and CDC regulations and guidelines.
Our office will remain open and we will continue treating emergency patients. Please rest assured that our sterilization and sanitization protocol is closely monitored at allemergenytimes. We ask that if you have a fever, shortness of breath, any flu like symptoms, or are immunocompromised, that you reschedule your appointment to minimize possible exposure. Screening will be mandatory over the phone before your appointment, as well as in office to ensure a safe environment for employees and patients.
An endodontic procedure is considered an emergency procedure as there is active infection in a tooth. We are implementing the following protocol to ensure safe necessary treatment for our patients.
-We will not use our waiting room. Patient’s are asked to call the office from their vehicle to check-in. When an operatory is ready, we will have the patient enter the office and pass directly into the treatment room. All clinical and business functions will occur in the treatment room. This includes check and all treatment consults. (The only exception will be taking a CBCT (Cone Beam x-ray)
-Vitals will be taken in the operatories.
-All magazines and reading material will be removed from the waiting area.
-Guests and family members are asked to wait in their vehicles while treatment is occuring.
-The waiting room door will be propped open to minimize transmission from shared contact surfaces.
-All shared surfaces (front door handles, bathroom door handles, doctor office door handle) will be wiped hourly with a log maintained.
Clinical policy changes:
We will strictly enforce the policy that no patient will be seen with a fever and/or respiratory issues.
-ALL patients must rinse for 60 seconds with 1% hydrogen peroxide prior to all treatment.
-The dental assistant will check the patient’s temperature.
-We encourage all patient’s over the age of 65 with any auto-immune deficiency to reschedule their appointment unless you have swelling or are in pain.
Edmond Endodontics will continue to monitor information from the CDC and public health officials and will follow their guidelines to help minimize any risk to our patients and staff. We are committed to keeping our community safe, our staff employed, and our local economy thriving throughout this uncertain time. We appreciate your continued support.
